This book was very real and heartbreaking at times. The first chapter alone draws you into this book. Jeff and his sister were very much beaten by his alcoholic father while his mother did nothing to intervene of help. After multiple times trying to leave Arizona he finally sticks with his plan and leaves to New York, only to return to save his sister.
While in New York he meets an unorthodox Jew, who befriends him and takes him in. He falls in love with his sister and thats where the drama begins. He also meets a pregnant stock broker who works as a broker in the Twin Towers, starting a love triangle.
This book was both exciting, heartbreaking, dramatic and over all a good read. I will warn you, there is potty language and graphics scenes. So if your not into that kind of writing I wouldn't suggest this book for you. But to me, I'm fine with it and thought it was a rather good read over all.
