I was given these ice molds in exchange for my HONEST, unbiased review. I have always wanted to try sphere ice cub molds since they're so perfect for hosting friends and also getting a nice hefty ice cub without the melt that comes along with many little ice cubes. First, I'll get the large square cube review out of the way: They're great. They're a wonderful size and so easy to remove from the mold.
As for the spheres, I wasn't quite sure how these worked at first but then figured out you must fill them through the hole at the top. This takes coordination over the sink but is pretty easy. With that said though, It is messy. Water gets on top and you can't really remove it without losing water form the inside as well. Also, these have the tendency to overfill and you'll also get a similar overflow freeze in the middle. This doesn't impact the sphere shapes though which is good. It's really easy to pull these out and use. Simply pull off the top shell and then crack them out and they are a great touch to any fancy cocktails or party punch bowls.
