This thing is cooler than I thought it would be. What it is, 3 leds red, blue and green that spin in a circle. The plastic dome creates a neat dispersement of light that makes circular patterns. Depending on the positioning of the lights you can make different patterns. With the remote you can change which colors you want. It uses almost no energy as it's using led technology.
The only cons are, it does make a definitely audible little noise of the motor that rotates the lights but it is not overbearing or anything. Also, as far as I can tell, It doesn't have an on/off switch on the actual light itself meaning that you can only control the color functions with the remote. Lose the remote, and when you plug it in it is just to random flashing colors :( The quality of the products used are obviously on the low end due to cost but until it inevitably falls apart it is pretty fun!
